Congratulations to the winners of JavaFX Coding Challenge, Sten Anderson, Naoaki Suganuma, and Evgeni Sergeev!

As I understand, many an excellent applications were submitted by JavaFX developer community. I can bet, it must have been challenging for the judges to pick the best three out of all of them.

However, IMO, first three winners are outstanding and that the first place winner, Music Explorer FX by Sten Anderson is just brilliant!

It is a great news that Indaba Music finally launched their Console 2.0. I can say it with proud that KSPTech Inc's team of engineers had the privilege of  helping Indaba team with architecting and implementing major chuck of the User Interface.

Indaba's Digital Audio Workstation

The Alpha release announced this morning is totally written in Java and JavaFX1.1. It will soon be ported to JavaFX1.2 to make use of the latest and the greatest features in JavaFX1.2. Check out this screenshot, and a Wired article that contains a demonstration video by musician and co-founder Dan Zaccagnino.

While working on Console 2.0, Indaba had decided to migrate from Flash based Console to Java and JavaFX based console. Main reason for their migration was to record high quality music by utilizing Java and JavaFX's capability to extract maximum power from the underlying platforms.

Congratulations to the Indaba team and their community.
